Today's Photo of the Day was captured by Jack Fusco in Malibu, California using a Nikon D800E. Although Fusco regularly photographs the starry night skies of the east coast he says this was his first time shooting the Milky Way over the Pacific Ocean. Shooting with a Sony DSLR-A850 and a 20mm F/2.8 lens, Harris says he spent nearly an hour at the location to get this perfect shot. "[I] managed to make the shots look peaceful, even though there was a steady cue of tourists with selfie sticks making things difficult," Harris writes about the image. Part of the trick?
