The Humane Society of Utah is using a fun, alternative approach to get the word out on dogs that need to be adopted. A much-needed break from the typical shots of sad animals in cages we often see, this photo booth shows off the personality of some very happy animals.

The images are posted to the humane society’s Facebook and Instagram pages and have proven to be a successful way of reaching future families for these dogs.

The Humane Society of Utah’s special-event manager, Rachel Kelly, reported massive growth to TIME. ” Since we have started utilizing social media, we had a record-breaking number of adoptions, placing over 10,000 animals into homes in 2014,” she said, “we definitely attribute the photo campaign as a large part of this success.”

The ability of the photo booth setup to capture each dog’s unique personality is a huge help when reaching out to people to adopt, and makes for some pretty hilarious candid shots.
