Monday mornings in August don’t get better than this: Just read about amateur photographer Mike Stimpson, who for fun recreates famous photographs with Legos. The British video game programmer began his hobby in 2007. At top you see his recreation of Charles C. Ebbets’ 1932 image “Lunch atop a Skyscraper.” Below is Robert Capa’s shot 1936 of a soldier being shot during the Spanish Civil War. I’m thinking American Photo should sign up this guy as a contributing editor. If anyone else wants to try something like this, be sure to take a picture and send it to us.–David Schonauer
