Blog Search: Rare WWI Color Photos?

After a busy week, I had a few minutes today to continue my daily blog research, also known as wasting time at my computer. Someone around our office has to do it, after all. My interesting discover today comes from a posting on DIGG, from someone who says he discovered some rare color photos from World War I. The images are probably hand- colored versions of black-and-white shots, or possibly digitally-altered images, but if they're authentic at all they're really fascinating. I haven't seen an

My interesting discover today comes from a posting on DIGG, from someone who says he discovered some rare color photos from World War I. The images are probably hand- colored versions of black-and-white shots, or possibly digitally-altered images, but if they're authentic at all they're really fascinating. I haven't seen anything like them--really capturing the daily life of the soldiers in France. Can anyone offer any thoughts about these photographs? I'm suspicious, but I want to believe they're real.
