Now it can told: the new iPhone from Apple will be available to buyers on June 29, according to TV ads that began appearing yesterday. And as this morning's New York Times reports, anticipation is running at fever pitch. There is speculation—as there always is when you get a bunch of Apple freaks together to ponder the future—that this little piece of technology will change everything. (That's why some people refer to the iPhone simply as "The God Machine.") Will the iPhone be the device that finally makes the Internet really mobile? Will it recast the way we see pictures, and the way photographers share and market their pictures? I'd be happy to hear from anyone with theories about this. In the meantime, I can tell you that with a price tag of over $600, the iPhone will not be the way I will be seeing pictures or making calls.
