According to Women's Wear Daily, the editor of Penthouse magazine, Mark Healy, has hired fashion photographer Terry Richardson to shoot the magazine's first perforated centerfold. Healy, says WWD, was trying to find a way to set his neo-raunchy magazine apart from the competition. Penthouse has certainly evolved over the years, from the vaseline-on-the-lens and gold-chain days of Bob Guccione to a brief phase of real hardcore stuff, followed by a newer attempt at being edgy and relevant. (Healy comes from GQ.) Frankly, for this kind of thing, the choice of Richardson is kind of brilliant.
