The time leading up to the arrival of a new camera or lens in the lab is always trying for our staff, and last week was no exception as we impatiently waited for the Canon EOS-1D Mark III. Each time the scenario is always the same: It begins with one of the editors pressing his face up against the little window in the lab door and mouthing the words, “Is it in yet?” and it continues with a steady parade of staffers in and out of the lab asking the same question until the item arrives. However, this waiting period was particularly nerve racking because a certain website editor who shall remain nameless (hint: initials JH), was pestering the lab staff every chance he got.
It finally arrived, and our website editor couldn’t contain himself any longer. He summoned super-hero strength, ripped open the box with his bare hands and got right to work testing the Canon EOS-1D Mark III. We really can’t write anything else about the camera because he won’t let anyone else look at it, or heaven forbid touch it. Therefore, please be patient. The test of the Canon EOS-1D Mark III will be up in a matter of days.
