Here’s How I’d Spend A Million Dollars At The AIPAD Photography Show

I don’t want to blow anyone’s mind, but I should to admit, journalism isn’t exactly the world’s most lucrative profession these days. So I can’t say I had much in common with the one-percenters milling about the AIPAD Photography Show floor last night, searching for that special little something to spruce up their foyers, or more likely, that special little something that will obfuscate their actual rate of taxable income. But let’s pretend, because art fairs are a lousy, overwhelming way to experience art if you’re not looking to buy anything.

For now, photography isn’t painting, and I would never want to go near a Peter Lik, so spending a million dollars on prints isn’t really all that easy. Here are 40 works of art from our fantasy shopping spree totaling $955,400.

AIPAD Photography Show, now in it’s 35th year, with over 80 exhibitors, runs through April 19, 2015 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York.
