Video shows how researchers submit lenses to extreme conditions
Try not to flinch 20 seconds into this video by Carl Zeiss when the expensive lens makes its slow motion collision after being dropped from several feet above the table. It may be slightly painful for photographers to watch the lenses as they are dropped, shaken, and subjected to extreme heat and cold.
