Digital Photography School offers of some tips for getting better pets photos. Working with available light really adds to the shot. Pets can be busy so work along side them while they play. The more comfortable they become with you and your camera, the sooner they will ignore you. Remember to shoot from a lot of different angles and be willing to get down on their level.
