How Not to Clean Your Camera Gear

Try and watch it without cringing

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Don't actually put your camera in water. It will break your camera.]

Ever wanted to give your camera a proper, deep clean? More than you can get with your standard cleaning tools? Or even a vacuum lens? Then this video from Ioannis Pavlis should show you how to get every last bit of grime out of your camera. With just some basic household supplies, a bit of elbow grease, and a spray hose, you can get that camera spick and span. Sure, it might not be working afterwards, but how can you put a price on the value of cleanliness?

In case you haven't cottoned on, yes this is a humor piece. No, we don't actually recommend dunking your Canon 5D Mark II and 24-105mm lens in soapy water. Nor do we recommend sticking a spray hose against your lens mount. Obviously you should put it through the dishwasher. Cleans just as well, and takes much less effort.
