Tumblr exif
SHARE

Tumblr has rapidly grown to one of the most popular blogging platforms on the planet, recently surpassing WordPress by hitting 20.8 million blogs — and much of that popularity is due to the ease with which you can share and comment on photos. Tumblr has just rolled out a new feature for those who upload their own images, and now you will be able to see basic EXIF data on uploaded files. If your theme supports it, you’ll now be able to click on an image and see camera model, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and focal length.

Much like with Flickr, there’s nothing particularly revealing within this information — you can’t see serial numbers or GPS location or anything else too personal. However, if you don’t want people to know this information about your photography, be sure to strip the EXIF data prior to uploading. There are plenty of utilities out there designed to do precisely that.
