It's a question we hear all of the time: How do I get photos taken with my pop-up flash to look better? Diffusion is usually a good option for cutting down on unflattering shadows, which is why Gary Fong created his Puffer pop-up flash diffuser. The diffuser itself is supported by a bracket mounted to the camera's hot shoe. The older model worked with a wide variety of DSLRs, but the new release specifically cares for the needs of those in the Sony and Konica Minolta camps. Functionally speaking, it's pretty much the same product, but it's an excellent and affordable little piece of kit to keep on you when you don't feel like lugging around an enormous dedicated flash. It's available now from the Gary Fong site for $20.
