Since the iPad itself doesn’t have any USB ports or an SD-card slot, you’ll have to spring for the Camera Connection Kit, which comes with two dongles to alleviate its lack of built-in equipment. They’re currently available for pre-order for $29 and will ship in “late April.” When you plug in your camera, it opens the Photos app so you can be selective about which photos you dump.
