Your Photo: Our Critique

This image submitted by Caleb Marhoover was taken with a Canon 40D. This is a very clever way to get multiple shots in one photo.  The nice light is almost lost on your subjects though. In the first shot they are both looking down and although you get a feel for their relationship, you are losing a lot of detail. Consider using a reflector to bounce some of that light in there. The second shot is better and catches his personality and size. In the last one I would suggest moving her back a step to block the bridge just over her head. It's a distraction from her looking down, which is really where you want the viewers' eyes to go. You have done a good job with the concept, but try to make the first photo your strongest.
