This image was submitted by Jamey, taken with a Nikon D80, with an exposure of  1/400 sec (with -3 exposure compensation ) at f/9, ISO 640. What drew Jamey to photograph this scene in Cambodia was the smiles of the children who seemed oblivious to their surroundings. For Jamey this image has special meaning regardless of its technical merit.  Choosing black and white adds to the feel of the image. The light’s direction and the second face being in the shadows weakens the image and loses some detail, unfortunately it is what it is since this shot was taken as Jamey walked by them. Some post processing could work to bring out the second face. The depth of field is a positive here, bringing all of the attention to the subjects.
