Your Photo: Our Critique

Adam Littman submitted this image taken with a 10 second exposure at f/8, with ISO 200 film. It was taken through a window which has caused a little bit of ghosting at the bottom of the frame. There is some parallax distortion in the archway, which can be adjusted in Photoshop.

Adam Littman submitted this image taken with a 10 second exposure at f/8, with ISO 200 film. It was taken through a window which has caused a little bit of ghosting at the bottom of the frame.  There is some parallax distortion in the archway, which can be adjusted in Photoshop. The exposure could have been less, some of the highlights are blown out, a smaller aperture would have given the starburst effect to the lights if desired.  The contrast between the green glow on the archway and the golden light of the bridge works.  The use of lines is wonderful, between the framing in the archway and the diagonal of the bridge with its repetitive use of arches creates a visually pleasing image.
