We are very happy to hear that famed digital retoucher Pascal Dangin (above) survived a fiery airplane crash at the airport in Montauk, Long Island. Dangin,a student pilot, was taking off in his own Cirrus SR22 on Saturday afternoon when a wing of the plane clipped the ground. It ended up in a drove of trees, where it burst into flames. Dangin and a flight instructor escape the fire.
Dangin is the owner of Box Studio in New York, which is where many of the country’s top fashion and celebrity photographers go for the digital nips and tucks that make models and movie stars look fabulous. He was profiled in the New Yorker in 2008.
