Your Photo: Our Critique

Brian has made good use of the early morning light and kept his exposure in check. The nice orange long lines of the legs and the beak add contrast and interest to this photo.

Brian Greenberg has submitted this image taken with a Nikon D40, with an exposure of  1/160 sec at f/5.7, ISO 200.  Brian has made good use of the early morning light and kept his exposure in check. The nice orange long lines of the legs and the beak add contrast and interest to this photo. Using an appropriate shutter speed for this scene the foam has frozen as it forms around the feet of the bird.  There is a nice foreground element, as the water pulls away from the sand.  Nice clean background with a shallow depth of field.  Nice job.
