Charley Andrisano submitted this photo taken at the New York Aquarium in Coney Island. It was shot with a Canon 40D and 15-50mm lens with an exposure of 1/40 sec at f/2.8, ISO of 800. I like how the sea turtle is facing straight ahead, although you miss out on detail in the shell. There is a bit of noise from using such a high ISO. Next time bring a monopod or tripod if they are allowed so you can use a slower shutter speed and lower ISO. Check out our story in the January issue on shooting at Aquariums. It’s filled with great tips and tricks like getting there early to avoid massive crowds and smudge marks on the glass.
