On February 17, 1994, the first consumer level digital camera that worked with a home computer and used a serial cable was released. The Apple QuickTime 100 camera was launched at the Tokyo MacWorld Expo. The camera ran off three AA batteries, was fully automatic, and could store up to 32 images.
