Steven Kunak submitted this photo he took with his Nikon D80 with an exposure of 1/160 sec at f/6.3 with an ISO of 100 and a focal length of 24mm. I think the main problem here is that there’s too much empty space and not enough focus on one subject. Also, the horizon line is too centered. I think the trees in the background make a good subject so I suggest next time zooming in, or for now just cropping. Cropping also allows you to adjust the position of the horizon. In this case, I like the reflection of the trees on the water so I cropped out more of the sky and placed the horizon towards the top third of the photo. I also adjusted the levels to add contrast and darker shadows. I also converted the photo to black and white to give it a more classic look. With a few small changes, the photo is completely transformed.
