Your Photo: Our Critique

David Hussey submitted this image taken with a Canon Rebel XTi at 1/800 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400. This photo definitely captures fall.  The bright leaves against the dark background is very stunning. The vertical crop using the branches to outline the leaves is a nice attempt at framing the leaves.  Unfortunately the middle branch is breaking up the pattern of the leaves. Without the middle branch the leaves would be framed nicely between the exterior branches and the visual triangles would be strengthened.  If possible in situations like this move around and take photos from different angles.  Sometimes the smallest of detail can be overlooked when actually taking the photo.
