Scott McCarty shot this photo of slave quarters with a Canon EOS 20D with an exposure of 1/500 sec at f/8, ISO 1600.  I think the conversion to black and white gives it an older feeling, which I like very much. The exposure out the window is quite bright while the bed frame is a little dark. Using HDR in a situation like this can be very helpful. Combining multiple exposures allows the entire photograph to be correctly exposed.  Also, I like the way the curtain sits against the window and I wish the photo were cropped to show off more of the beautiful window scene.
