Your Photo: Our Critique

Charles Evans submitted this image taken with a Canon EOS Rebel G film camera at ISO 400. The single eye definitely catches your attention and is perfectly placed in the photo. The child’s leg in the bottom of the frame is so much lighter it detracts from the face.

Charles Evans submitted this image taken with a Canon EOS Rebel G film camera at ISO 400. The single eye definitely catches your attention and is perfectly placed in the photo.  The child’s leg in the bottom of the frame is so much lighter it detracts from the face. It would be nice to be able to see more of the dog’s face.  There is a nice visual triangle that helps keep the viewer in the frame though.  This photo may not be technically perfect but as far as Charles is concerned this is one of his all time favorite photos, which is a great reminder that a photo doesn’t have to be flawless to connect to viewers which brings us all back to why we keep clicking the shutter and capturing memories.
