Your Photo: Our Critique

Kristin Trautmann Johnson submitted this image taken with a Fuji FinePix S5200, at 1/240 sec, f/3.2, ISO 200. What catches your eye immediately is the rich colors of the leaves. The stem creates a nice leading line and the leaves themselves add texture. Using the green leaves as background works the complementary colors.

This photo is not so much about the leaves as it is about the patterns the colors make but there is not one complete leaf in this photo, every one of them is abruptly cropped out of the frame, including the complete leaf on the left would help keep attention within the frame.
