Your Photo: Our Critique

Holger Vaga submitted this image taken with a Canon 400D, at 1/30 sec, f/5, ISO 200. This is a nice start but only a few parts are in focus, for this to work it would be better if the eye was sharp instead of the area to the left of the eye. The blue blob is distracting since it is totally unrecognizable and almost looks like a flaw in the printing. The spider silk is a nice touch and is in focus but still leaves me wondering what the blue blob is. Overall this image just misses.
