Before Crop After Crop

Alain Diebra submitted this image taken with a Canon Rebel Xsi, with an exposure of 1/500 sec at f/5.6, ISO 200. The original photo has a nice depth of field but the subject gets lost. The focus on the butterfly is sharp and can be cropped in to make the butterfly prominent instead of competing with the background for the viewer's attention. In cropping the image I tilted the frame slightly.
