Your Photo: Our Critique

Joel Tyson submitted this image taken with a Nikon D80, with an exposure of 1/200sec at f/1.8, ISO 320. When photographing something like this you really have limited control of things such as the bright light just behind his head. It is really bright and immediately grabs your attention, it’s a shame it’s not colored. The white shirt on the boy in the center appears to be blown out.

What does work for this image, is that the background, while busy, totally adds to the feel of the image. With everyone looking one way, the guitarist is lost in his own world giving an intimate feel to an image with chaos all around. Well done as well for not cropping him dead center.
