Tonya Head submitted this image taken with a Nikon D80 at 1/60 sec, f/8, ISO 180, f/8. The light is even making the colors very true. There is a bee on the flower, but is almost too small to be noticeable right away. This is a nice photo but lacks that something special, the flower is right in the middle of the frame, which of course isn't always bad but the extra bud off to the right, throws the symmetry off. A different composition with more interest would take this photo from a photo of a flower to a wow shot, the subject has that capability. Either compose the flower off center and use the bud and the leaf that moves into the upper right corner to anchor the right side of the frame or move in closer and capture that bee and the pollen in all their glory.
