Your Photo: Our Critique

Marco Ranieri submitted this image taken with a Nikon D80, at 1/1000 sec, f/5/6, ISO 400. With this bright sunlight a lower ISO would have worked. I am assuming what caught Marco’s eye was the graphic appeal of this situation. While I can appreciate the concept, the tilt is too much. The same graphic lines would have been effective if the image was upright.

I am assuming what caught Marco's eye was the graphic appeal of this situation. While I can appreciate the concept, the tilt is too much. Tilting a frame takes a certain type of image and in this case the viewer feels like the men are falling out of the frame. The same graphic lines would have been effective if the image was upright.
