Your Photo: Our Critique

This image was submitted by Jordi Vilamu, taken with a Canon Rebel XTi at 1/200 sec, f/5.6, ISO 100. Jordi was going for a motion pan. Also consider the framing, try to not put the biker right in the middle of the frame, if he was more in the right of the frame he would actually be looking into the photo.

Jordi has done a good job of keeping the subject in focus while panning. The bigger issue here is the background, it isn't blurred enough to add interest to the image and is actually distracting. Also consider the framing, try to not put the biker right in the middle of the frame, if he was more in the right of the frame he would actually be looking into the photo. Panning takes a lot of practice and just the right circumstances, keep working on it until you get all of the components together in one image.
