Your Photo: Our Critique

This image was submitted by Carl East, who told us he is just starting out in photography. Carl used a Nikon D40 and did his editing in Adobe Lightroom. For a beginner this is a wonderful landscape image. Landscapes are not as easy as one would think. Carl has used an appropriate aperture keeping everything in focus front to back. The valley gives the photo a nice leading line and the colors of the trees are true.
