This portrait submitted by Christopher Arata was taken with the Canon 40D with an exposure of 1/50 sec at f/2.8, ISO 200. The orange light is not flattering, next time try using a different light source or try changing the white balance on your camera to match the type of light you are using. Secondly, the foreground and background are too distracting. Next time, shoot against a more simple background. You can just throw up a sheet or blanket and you have your own homemade seamless background. Thirdly, the shadow on his eye is too dark. Make sure to light your subjects well.
