On your summer vacation you’ll want to visit the major tourist and photographer attractions, and get some killer landscapes and cityscapes. But the greatest vacation albums have two elements. They show the beauty of the site you are visiting, and also give the viewer insight into the culture. Be attentive, and focus on those ordinary moments, which often make the most extraordinary photographs. Befriend the locals and see what their everyday lives are like, what they eat, where they live, what they do for fun (this will be easier if there is no language barrier). Also, keep a journal of your travels and always carry around a small notepad and pen so you can record anything interesting you encounter.
