A Pictorial History of the Fist Bump

Here's a post from my That caused a bit of fulmination at MSNBC. Luckily, in this case we have photographic evidence that the fist bump is not at all underhanded.

Here's a post from my "Wish I Would Have Thought of That" file. MediaMatters has compiled a visual history of the "fist bump." This form of celebration, often used in sports and piano recitals, was recently performed in public by Michelle Obama and Barack Obama. Hill, host of Fox's show "Pulse," viewed the gesture and wondered aloud if it were a "terrorist fist jab." That caused a bit of fulmination at MSNBC. Luckily, in this case we have photographic evidence that the fist bump is not at all underhanded. If anyone asks you why pictures are important, show them this portfolio.--David Schonauer
