When A Wedding Photographer Becomes a Photojournalist

It started as a normal wedding photo shoot for Wang Qiang on May 12, in front of Church of the Annunciation, in the town of Bailu, China. But then the ground began shaking, and soon they were enveloped in dust. As one of China's deadliest natural disasters unfolded, the wedding photographer kept shooting, documenting beautiful young couples, dusty and shaken, with the ruins around them.

None of the couples were hurt, and as Wang remarked, "Having gone through a life-and-death test, they surely will clasp hands and grow old together."
