I don't love this photo submitted by Kevin Cole. As a general rule of photography you should not put the subject in the center of the photo. Of course rules can always be broken, but they shouldn't in this case. The tree and second deer in the background are distracting. I do like that the deer is looking at the camera but could have been shot with a more interesting background and setting. Next time wait for the deer to move somewhere else if possible or change where you are standing to separate it from the background.
