Your Photo: Our Critique

Christian Galleti has submitted this image. Taken in a white room this image shows the effect of lighting. Using one halogen spot from the left and one main light with a diffused blue light. The blue effect on the main light makes the white wall blue and everything on the subject has a blue tint except for where the white spot from the left is hitting. This image has a different feel about it. The light defines the subject’s right cheek very nicely.

This image has a different feel about it. The light defines the subject's right cheek very nicely. It looks like the eyes are catching different lights, the subject's right eye is catching the blue light and her left eye is catching the halogen light. The catch light on her right eye is falling onto the white of her eye and is distracting, if the eye as just slightly more towards the camera this would improve the image. Personally I do not like that half of the subject's face is blueish while the other side is not, but that is just me. I like that Christian has taken some chances with this image.
