This image taken with a Sony DST1 on automatic and ISO 100 was sent in by Bill. This looks like Bill was shooting down and trying to make a photo using the archway to frame the lower building showing the beautiful morning light.

This image taken with a Sony DST1 on automatic and ISO 100 was sent in by Bill. This looks like Bill was shooting down and trying to make a photo using the archway to frame the lower building showing the beautiful morning light. This image almost makes it, if the opening was the main focal point it needed to be included in its entirety or crop of the bottom section of railing and red carpet. If the below area is the focal point it isn't very clear. To frame something in something else it needs to be framed neatly. I can see what the objective was, but the final image just doesn't quite get there. This would make a nice snapshot from a vacation but to be a great shot the focal point needs to be more obvious. I am glad to see that someone is trying to make a different shot just remember what you are trying to show your viewer and compose the image with that in mind.
