Before Crop After Crop

This image was submitted by Albert Huen. I generally am not a big fan of dead foliage but I really like this image. It was shot with a Digital Rebel XTi at 1/13 sec, f/ 8, ISO 400. The shape of the leaf and the texture are very nice. Albert has worked well with the light. Unfortunately the dead leaves hanging in the top right hand corner really hurt the shot. You can work around this a number of ways, while actually taking the picture you can try to find a slightly different angle or reach over and remove the dead leaves. If you didn't notice it until editing, crop it out.
