Your Photo: Our Critique

BeforeAfterThis photo was submitted by Zach Hampton from his trip to Reims Cathedral in France. The tilt makes me very uneasy, I want to put my hand out and catch the candles as the slide off the table. Straightening the base of the table alleviates this problem, removes the partial candle on the left of the frame and makes the front red candle more prominent.

This photo was submitted by Zach Hampton from his trip to Reims Cathedral in France. The tilt makes me very uneasy, I want to put my hand out and catch the candles as the slide off the table. Straightening the base of the table alleviates this problem, removes the partial candle on the left of the frame and makes the front red candle more prominent. It is a very interesting image but the shadow is distracting me, it breaks up the flow of the image. The exposure is good and I like that Zach got low and shot upwards.
