Your Photo: Our Critique

Using the sunlight to light his subject, Rafal Soltysek has a very captivating image. A gentleman riding his bike wearing a jacket, baseball cap, and long black socks along a beach is not your everyday scene. The profile works great and the action is frozen. I don’t have any data with this shot but you can tell by the line of light hitting his cheeks that it is not high noon.

The man and his bike makes a great visual triangle. I don't have any data with this shot but you can tell by the line of light hitting his cheeks that it is not high noon. The tide is not blown out but would improve the image if it was just a little less exposed. Being a little nit picky I would not crop so closely on the right of the image, leave just a little more space behind the right tire and the edge of the frame.
