Original Crop**

This shot of an antique car was sent in by Warren LaFever. Warren said that he likes to make all adjustments in his camera with little or no post processing. There are graphic possibilities in this shot, but it just misses. Playing around with the crop you could eliminate the distracting side parts by cropping it to the edge of the grill. I have included an example of this crop and have cropped a bit off the top moving Chevrolet up in the frame and dropping the line of the hood out of the actual corner. I can see what caught his eye—the vibrant colors, the intriguing lines and reflections from the overhead trees, even the open hood adds a dimension. If his intent was to show the whole car he would have included more in the frame, this crop achieves a graphic look which I believe was what he intended.
