Reflections on shiny surfaces can be great if done right, but this photo, submitted by Tomek Blaszczak, misses on some points. I would suggest zooming in or cropping out the cactus and window, the reflection will look more abstract and less obvious. It's more interesting if the reflective surface is obscured. The sky reflected from the window is blown out, which is distracting. The subject matter is too cluttered—it's hard to see the man surrounded by so many other things. The choice the photographer made to use sepia tone is nice and gives the photo a classic feel, he was also wise to make sure the reflection was in focus.
