Your Photo: Our Critique

George P. has sent in this picture of a bonzai tree. If possible use a reflector to the left of the tree to add some more light onto the front of it for more detail.

George P. has sent in this picture of a bonzai tree. George has used ambient light which gives a great feel to the picture. To improve upon this image, first I would suggest a smaller aperture than was used here which would bring the rock in the foreground into focus, with the bonzai being so orderly it really detracts from the feel of the shot. I would remove the white card in the lower right hand corner before I took the picture. If possible use a reflector to the left of the tree to add some more light onto the front of it for more detail.
