This photo submitted by Bass Sears is a product of way too much Photoshopping. I'm curious what the original photo looked like before it was killed in post-production. The photographer said that he used cropping and changed the levels and curves in Photoshop. The particular crop he chose doesn't work, he would have a more interesting shot if he placed the mountains in the lower third of the photograph and the beautiful sky in the top two thirds. The colors are so nice and I'd like to see more of them. The reflection in the water is nice, but the rest of the foreground is dull. Worst of all, you can see the line between the mountains and sky where the levels and curves were changed. I suggest starting out with a more accurate exposure so you won't need as much editing. Try using a higher ISO than 100 in cases like this where the subject is too dark.
