We can't scrape the EXIF data to be sure, but this looks like it was shot with Digital Zoom. Turn digital zoom off! It makes soft-edged shots that aren't photorealistic. It's a nice moment, and nice framing, but digital zoom feels like a watercolor that's trying too hard to be photorealistic. The solution for this image? Forget photorealism! Turn it into a full-on watercolor style image. Filter>Artistic>Watercolor will let you play with the settings.
