Norwegian photographer Ellen Ugelstad’s interest in shoes has resulted in more than just a full closet, she got an interesting photo project out of it, too. The Shoe Project pairs photos of people’s faces with photos of their shoes (but nothing in between).
It’s amazing how easy it is to see a connection with the character in someone’s face, and something as simple as their shoes. The connection between who we are and what we wear has been raised before by photographers, but Ugelstad manages to do it with simplicity and flair.
