This photo submitted to us by Michael Shattuck suffers from the camera shooting directly into the sun. What might have been an okay portrait is now exposed badly. The top left corner where the sun was is overexposed so much that it hurts my eyes to look at it. At the same time, almost all of the details in her black pants are lost. The woman's face and shirt are exposed nicely. The little blue area next to her leg is glare from sun hitting the lens. I do like how the background is blurred, keeping the focus on the main subject. I wonder what she is staring at up there. I would prefer if the woman were looking directly at the camera creating eye contact and drawing in the viewer.
